Children are welcome in Val d'Isere, and there are a number of creches and childcare services available. There are a couple of nurseries that takes children from aged 3 years, and a private babysitting/nanny agency. They do tend to be popular and so you should make sure you book well in advance. Children's clubs are also popular during summer and winter, and offer a range of activities for children of all ages. |

There are two children’s clubs run in Val d’Isere throughout the summer. Les Aiglons for 4-11 year olds and Le Junior’s Club for 11-16 year olds – both located in the Manchet Valley.
Les Aiglons
Specialised instructors do all kinds of sports and activities with the children every afternoon from 2pm to 6pm Sunday to Friday at €99 per week. Children are grouped by age.
Marmottons : 4 years
Oursons : 5/6 years
Mouflons : 7/8 years
Aiglons : 9/10 years

Le Junior’s Club
Older Children can enjoy several activities including from baseball and street hockey, to mountain climbing and golf. The club is open from Sunday to Friday 2pm to 6pm through the summer at a cost of €99 a week.

In Val d'Isere there are two nurseries which will look after children from 3 years of age:
Village des Enfants
The Village des Enfants is run by ESF and is the main nursery in Val d'Isere, it is ideally situated on the nursery slopes in the heart of thte town. It is open from Sunday to Thursday 9.00 - 17.45 and Friday 9.00 - 14.00 and accepts children aged between 3 and 8 years old. There is an option of ski tuition alongside the nursery care for mornings, afternoons, full days or by the hour.
Le Petit Poucet
Le Petit Poucet offers a slightly different service from the Village des Enfants; no ski school lessons are provided but they will transport children to & from their lessons. They will also pick up and drop off children at chalets at the beginning and end of the day. They are open 7 days a week 9.00 - 17.30 each day and will take children from just 1 hour to the whole week. A deposit will be required to make a booking and payment can only be made in Euros. It is strongly recommended to pre-book any nursery places for the busy New Year and February school holiday period. Places are often fully booked months in advance.
Les Farfadets
A private babysitting nanny agency called Les Farfadets also operates in Val d’Isere. They offer a flexible service from a minimum of 2 hours up to a full week (at busy times of year they may only accept bookings for full days/full weeks). Many of the carers are British or English speaking and the Les Farfadets office is manned by English speaking staff.
Evening Baby-Sitting
A list of registered baby-sitters is available from the Val d'Isere tourist office, but most of them will be French. Les Farfadets (details above) may also be able to organise evening babysitting.
