Video Snow Reports are a regular free snow conditions update service we are offering, in which we finally reveal the identities of some of our Snow Reporters... well that's assuming they are not wearing balaclavas and aviator shades - just to protect them from the from the same people who are after ‘The Stig’ from the BBC’s Top Gear.
Our videos rely on the latest Flash Player technology. If the video(s) won't play in your browser then you may need to update to the latest version of the Flash Player plugin. This update is free and should only take seconds on most computers.

Against all the weather reports and much to the X-Games competitors delight the sun has come and and shined on proceedings here in Tignes.
The snow is in amazing shape and temperatures are still at a very un spring like low. The skiing is perfect on piste and not too bad off piste but if we want to experience it we'll have to drag ourselves away from the spectator spots in Val Claret.
Easier said than done with world class riders showing off for our benefit all day long.

The Toviere Couloirs were, for the second time, the setting for the Evolution 2 Full Moon Freeride. Armed with nothiing more than a head torch and a spotlight the most extreme freeriders around took to the infamous face to compete for the title.
Tignes is certainly looking extreme at the moment what with this event and the build up to the X-Games which is looking bigger and better with every passing day.
Weather wise, basically its been rubbish but it is going to improve and when it does the snow is in perfect shape for the world to see.

Video Snow Report from Val d'Isere : Thu 18th Feb 2010 - A quiet spot during the holiday mayhem
You must have Javascript enabled.
This week I've tried to find a spot away from all the ski schools and holiday mayhem that has hit the slopes. Its actually not been too bad and the lift cues, normally the bain of my life during holiday time, have not been as tiresome as I expected.
Piste 'L' is a great little run which is slightly challenging but fun and not a usual ski school rat run. Easy to get to a from and pretty, what more could you want?
All the footage in today's report was taken today so you can get a good idea of the way the weather changes in such a quick time.
Snow tomorrow then a bit more sun for next week I hope.
