With such an extensive lift network in operation both summer and winter, it makes sense that there are a wide range of lift pass options available for the skier or boarder, mountain biker and pedestrian.
Opening & Closing Dates for Val d'Isère Lifts - Winter
The Val d'Isère ski area will open on 28th November 2009 and close on 2nd May 2010. The links to Tignes and the entire Espace Killy area are generally guaranteed from 19th December 2009 to 3rd May 2009 but it is usually possible to ski a reduced Tignes/Val area (inc. links) from the end of November. For the latest info on lift openings in the area, please see our Live Piste & Lift Status for daily updates.
It's worth noting that reduced rates are available on Espace Killy ski passes between 28th November to 18th December 2008 for those who can squeeze in a bit of pre-Christmas skiing!
There are currently a number of different lift pass options available to ski and enjoy the Val d'Isere valley. All lift passes (except cross country) require a hands free card to operate the turnstiles. It is possible to buy a pass for just the Val d'Isere ski area, or for the Espace Killy area which is valid throughout the entire Val d'Isere and Tignes ski domain, giving you access to 300kms of piste. Opening & Closing Dates for Val d'Isère Lifts - Summer 2009
During the summer season certain ski lifts open for pedestrians, mountain bikers and paragliders, giving access to the higher hiking trails and some truly beautiful views.
For summer 2009 the resort is open from 27th June to 30 August. Exact lift dates are as follows:
TSD Solaise Express - 27th June to 30th August (every day from 9am to 4.30pm)
TPHD Olympique - 28th June to 28th August (from Sunday to Friday from 9.30am to 12.30pm and 1.30pm to 4.30pm)
TS Village - 5th July to 21st August (from Sunday to Friday from 9.30am to 12.30pm and 1.30pm to 4.30pm)

Skiers can access the Pissaillas glacier between 27th June and 26th July, depending on snow conditions. Ski passes can be bought every day from 7.30am to 12.30pm from the Pissaillas cash desk, please see here for prices.
The Val d'Isere Valley consists of six separate lift areas that cater for a whole host of individuals - from skiers and snowboarders, mountaineers and climbers, hikers and mountain bikers, to those simply wishing to enjoy the more leisurely pursuit of admiring the beauty of the surrounding mountains. With such variety on your doorstep, it makes sense that there are a number of different lift passes available so that you can tailor your purchase to the ability and preferences of your group. Lift passes are available from the base of each lift station, the Montenvers railway cash desk or in advance on-line purchases can be made via the Compagnie du Mont Blanc website. Visa, Mastercard and Amex credit cards are accepted. Don't forget that your lift pass also provides you with free access to the bus and train system that runs throughout the Val d'Isere Valley.
