Melezes is one of their best-selling apartments, it occupies the first and second floors of a small but smart residence located only a few minutes walk from the centre of town and Solaise lifts.

On entry, you have plenty of space for ski coats, gloves, hats etc. You then walk through to the main room with the kitchen straight ahead that has a dividing wall between the stairs (leading downstairs) and part of the sitting room. The kitchen has a large fridge, normal size oven, four ring hob, dishwasher, kettle, toaster and all utensils. A large dining table capable of seating up to 10 people sits in the corner of the room at one end of the kitchen.

The sitting room houses two good sized sofas, a flat screen TV, DVD player and coffee table. The layout works well with each distinctive area flowing into the other. Off to the right after the entrance hall is a double bedroom. The bed is built into the corner of the room so you can’t access it from both sides. The en-suite bathroom can be entered from either the bedroom or the hall side enabling use of the WC to house guests or visiting friends. The bathroom includes a large modern sink, WC and shower unit. It has plenty of storage and the décor is clean and modern.

A balcony is located off the dining end of the room that looks up towards the Solaise mountain sector. The view is filtered through trees that surround the building.

The lower level houses the master bedroom with shelving and good storage. The en-suite bathroom offers a full-size bath, separate shower cubicle, WC and sink. A separate WC is in the hallway just before you get to the twin room.

This four bedroom apartment can sleep up to eight people. It comprises of two double bedrooms with en-suites, a twin bedroom, and a smaller second twin bedroom with en-suite shower room including WC.

Val d'Isere centre is an array of lovely shops, restaurants, chalets, hotels and apartments. With beautiful views of the surrounding mountains this bustling village centre is nestled into the valley. Classic chalet style hotels and buildings constructed with stone and wood give the centre of Val d'isere a traditional and warm feel. The centre of Val d'Isere is where the heart of the resort lies and with the beautiful high street, lovely buildings and magnificent surrounding mountains it is easy to see why it remains a popular destination for many.

With an eclectic mix of restaurants to choose from in the centre of Val d'Isere there will be something to suit everyone's taste buds. The Vanoise National Park is accessible from Val d'Isere and is well worth a hike over to in the summer months. It's a protected area of natural beauty and you're sure to spot some of the local wildlife on your visit. 

Things to Do nearby

In the winter the centre of Val d'Isere is a buzzing and vibrant place to be. Boutique, designer and sports shops line the high street, restaurants and bars welcome guests from the cold outside and intricate ice sculptures can often be seen dotted around the pavements. With the regular bus services to and from the Rond Point giving access to both the Solaise and Bellevarde ski area, to La Daille and to Le Fornet you can hop on the bus and be at a ski area within minutes. 

The summer welcomes beautiful sunshine, green trees and plenty to do. Mountain biking is a popular acitivity in the summer time with lift access from Val d'Isere to Tignes you can explore the various trails and routes the mountain has to offer. There are also several walking and hiking routes that you can do giving you the freedom to explore the mountains and their breathtaking secenery. Plenty of summer activities can be enjoyed that are perfect for families and groups; you can even jump in the car and in just a short drive over to Tignes indulge in a spot of summer skiing on the Glacier. The centre of Val d'Isere is much quieter in the summer but it still has a lot to offer. The sports centre is open all year round so there is access to the swimming pool and gym, as well as some of the sports shops and restaurants on the high street opening their doors.

Lifts/Pistes nearby

The centre of Val d'Isere has easy access to the Solaise and Olympique lifts which take you respectively towards the Pissaillas glacier or towards the linked ski area of Tignes - forming the huge Espace Killy ski area.   

Nightlife nearby

There is a bustling nightlife scene in Val d'Isere, from lively bars and lounges at apres ski to nightclubs where you can dance until daylight. Whether you're looking for a more refined place to drink, or a dancing on tables kind of bar, there is literally something for everyone here!

The base price for this property is for self catering, however it is possible to rent this property with the following catering options for an additional charge.  

'Scatered' (pronounced 'skay tered') - A cross between fully catered and self catered and includes the following:  

  • Breakfast on 6 mornings, afternoon tea consisting of home baked cake, bread and jams
  • 3 evening meals with starter, main, dessert, coffee, chocolates and wine
  • Daily clean of the property (6 mornings, chalet host day off Wednesday), maxi towels and bath robes, mid week towel and bath mat change 
  • Complimentary Clarins toiletries; 30g boxed soap, 60 ml bottles of shampoo, conditioner and shower gel provided once during your stay

Instructors & Lessons

When staying here, you’ll need to book your own ski or snowboard lessons. Tuition is strongly recommended for complete beginners and is always a good idea whatever your level to perfect your technique. Group lessons are a great way for children to learn with their peers whilst giving you some free time on the slopes. Groups are also a generally cheaper option for adults, however, with a private instructor you’ll have undivided attention and be able to progress at your own pace.
