You can ski back to Les Carats if you are experienced enough to tackle the Face de Bellevarde, or if not then it’s a seven-minute walk from the centre of town.
Les Carats is a wonderful location for views and tranquillity with several new buildings having been added over the years to make this a very private ‘estate’ type setting.
The property itself is in a residence of only four properties so despite being an apartment, it very much feels like a chalet. Located on the first floor, before you get to the property you can leave your skis & boots in the locker on the ground floor. A boot warmer is provided.
On entry, you have the first bedroom to your left and the main open plan living/kitchen/dining is to your right. The sitting room includes several sumptuous sofas and 2 complimentary chairs with the fireplace very much part of the room. A balcony is accessible from the sitting room end that faces the slopes and offers daily sun and wonderful mountain views.
The dining end includes a large oak table with bench seating that seats up to eight people comfortably. The kitchen is open plan to the dining table that is fully equipped including a full-size oven, dishwasher, kettle and toaster.
This south facing property measures 80 sq m. Facilites include: UK Sky TV, free Wi-Fi internet access using a WEP code provided in the property (bring own USB cable if you want to hardwire in to the router), DVD player, ski room with boot warmer, indoor parking for 1 vehicle, terrace, fireplace, dishwasher, microwave.
Sleeping
This apartment comprises a double bedroom with open plan en-suite shower room with WC, plus two twin bedrooms. The bedrooms are cosy with the first one having a double bed that faces the shower room. This doesn’t have a door so it is very much open plan with a shower, basin, heated towel rail and WC. Bedrooms two and three are twin bedrooms that have double duvets in addition to singles if you prefer a double set up.
Dining
The base price for this property is for self catering, however it is possible to rent this property with the following catering options for an additional charge.
'Scatered' (pronounced 'skay tered') - A cross between fully catered and self catered and includes the following:
- Breakfast on 6 mornings, afternoon tea consisting of home baked cake, bread and jams
- 3 evening meals with starter, main, dessert, coffee, chocolates and wine
- Daily clean of the property (6 mornings, chalet host day off Wednesday), maxi towels and bath robes, mid week towel and bath mat change
- Complimentary Clarins toiletries; 30g boxed soap, 60 ml bottles of shampoo, conditioner and shower gel provided once during your stay
- tissues and toilet rolls

'Bed & Breakfast'
- Breakfast served at an agreed time (but no later than 9.30am) on 6 mornings of the week starting Sunday morning with: freshly baked French bread, a selection of freshly baked croissants & pain au chocolates, butter & jams, french bacon & egg, breakfast cereal, selection of yoghurts, fresh fruit platter, breakfast orange juice, tea, coffee,
