This stylish chalet offers sophisticated accommodation which successfully combines chic interior decoration with traditional features and materials.  

The chalet is situated on the main road into resort and is lovely traditional stone building that exudes character and charm. 

On arrival, it's clear to see style and comfort are paramount in this chalet. The exposed stonewalls, traditional floor boards and thick wooden beams are tastefully complemented by modern comforts, soft fabrics and fantastic works of art. From relaxing in front of the open fire, to easing your muscles in the private sauna you'll certainly feel a sense of satisfaction staying here. 

The entrance hall with secure ski room, boot warmers and large sauna leads to a spiral staircase that brings you to the large open plan living areas with separate study and well-equipped kitchen.

The chalet has a separate TV snug so while you are socialising in the living room in front of the log fire, the kids can be relaxing in front of a film or playing board games. WiFi access is available throughout the property.

Sleeping

The chalet sleeps up to 10 in four bedrooms which are configured as follows:

  • Bedroom 1: King with en-suite bath/shower attachment, his & hers wash hand basin & WC
  • Bedroom 2: Twin with en suite bath, wash hand basin & WC
  • Bedroom 3: Twin with en suite bath, wash hand basin & WC 
  • Bedroom 4: Double (under eaves) with private bathroom

When sleeping 10, the TV snug can be turned into a twin room for children.

Due to the private, exclusive nature of Chalet Val Pierre, this chalet is not suitable for lively groups.

Dining

This company tailor their catering service to your needs. You can either choose to book the chalet on a self-catered basis, a half-board basis or a flexible catering basis.

Their half board package includes hearty daily breakfasts, delicious afternoon tea and an evening meal served with complimentary wine six days a week. 

When it comes to flexible catering, you can opt for just breakfasts which are £49 per person per week. Evening meals are also available, whether it is just a one-off dinner party for family and friends, a special celebration or you just desire a few nights out of the kitchen. Prices for evening meals with wine start from €35 per person.

Instructors & Lessons

When staying here, you’ll need to book  your own ski or snowboard lessons. Tuition is strongly recommended for complete beginners and is always a good idea whatever your level to perfect your technique. Group lessons are a great way for children to learn with their peers whilst giving you some free time on the slopes. Groups are also a generally cheaper option for adults, however, with a private instructor you’ll have undivided attention and be able to progress at your own pace.

The centre of Val d'Isere is where the heart of the resort lies and with the beautiful high street, lovely buildings and magnificent surrounding mountains it is easy to see why it remains a popular destination for many.

Things to Do Nearby

In the winter the centre of Val d'Isere is a buzzing and vibrant place to be. Boutique, designer and sports shops line the high street, restaurants and bars welcome guests from the cold outside and intricate ice sculptures can often be seen dotted around the pavements. With the regular bus services to and from the Rond Point giving access to both the Solaise and Bellevarde ski area, to La Daille and to Le Fornet you can hop on the bus and be at a ski area within minutes. 

The summer welcomes beautiful sunshine, green trees and plenty to do. Mountain biking is a popular acitivity in the summer time with lift access from Val d'Isere to Tignes you can explore the various trails and routes the mountain has to offer. There are also several walking and hiking routes that you can do giving you the freedom to explore the mountains and their breathtaking secenery. Plenty of summer activities can be enjoyed that are perfect for families and groups; you can even jump in the car and in just a short drive over to Tignes indulge in a spot of summer skiing on the Glacier. The centre of Val d'Isere is much quieter in the summer but it still has a lot to offer. The sports centre is open all year round so there is access to the swimming pool and gym, as well as some of the sports shops and restaurants on the high street opening their doors.

Lifts/Pistes Nearby

The centre of Val d'Isere has easy access to the Solaise and Olympique lifts which take you respectively towards the Pissaillas glacier or towards the linked ski area of Tignes - forming the huge Espace Killy ski area.
