A British teacher has died after an ill-fated fall on the off-piste ski area of the Face du Charvet this morning.

Val d'Isere skier in fatal 150 metre cliff fall

The forty year old British man from lost control on the Face du Charvet, which caused the skier to fall down a series of cliffs over the course of 300 metres and 150 metres vertical.
Four members of the Val d'Isere rescue services along with two doctors were called to the scene of the accident. First aid methods proved unsuccessful and the man was declared dead on the scene.

The skier has been named as Ed How, a teacher from Charterhouse school in Godalming, Surrey. Our thoughts go out to his family and friends.
