A handicapped 11 year old died on the pistes of Val d’Isere yesterday. The boy was in a sit-ski, a special chair equipped with skis, and was accompanied by a ski instructor.

He felt unwell and then lost consciousness. The instructor, piste security and mountain rescue tried to revive him for some time. Unfortunately, their efforts were in vain.

The young boy was on holiday in Val d’Isere with his parents. Our thoughts are with his family and friends.
