Just two weeks before the Tignes Winter X Games the two-time reigning superpipe ski champion Kevin Rolland is out of action with injury.

Torn left ACL whilst training in Meribel

The local freestyle hero was training in the Meribel DC Area 43 park in preparation for the third edition of the X Games when he was stretchered off.
A MRI scan later confirmed the 'crack' he suffered on landing a double flat spin was in fact his anterior cruciate ligament.
The ACL tear means Rolland is off for the rest of the season and sadly for the young rider, he won't be able to go for a X Games Tignes hat-trick.

Kevin will still be in Tignes for the big event to cheer on his team-mates.
