Le Samovar is a very cosy elegant hotel including 5 family-sized duplex rooms, offering a personalised service very close to the pistes. Access to the slopes could not be easier with both the lifts and the pistes virtually touching the doorstep.

The hotel is French run and is very popular with foreign visitors as the hotel is fairly relaxed and comfortable. The interior is a mix of traditional features and contemporary alpine furnishings. The rooms typically have rustic wood walls, faux fur bed covers and modern en-suite bathrooms. All rooms are fitted with flat screen TVs, iPod docks, radio, alarm clock and have WiFi access.

The Samovar opened a brand new mineral spa in Winter 2014, with a range of excellent facilities.

Prestige Suite family rooms with mezzanine are also available, and although the hotel will take group bookings you need to get in early as there are many returning guests who book well in advance.

As well as hotel rooms Le Samovar also runs a number of apartments in a chalet for up to 10 people. One of these is actually situated within the hotel giving occupants the choice of being entirely separated or to use the facilities as they choose.

After a day on the mountain guests can looked forward to unwinding in the new spa at the hotel which is open to adults only (+18). There is a steam room, sauna, spa de nage as well as two massage rooms.

The Pool

The spa, opened in Winter 2014, offers 'Spa de Nage' (swimming pool), Hammam, Sauna, 2 massage rooms of which 1 is a double one. It is only open to adults only (18+) and is available for use for all hotel residents.

The Bar

The chic lounge bar is the perfect place for a winter apres ski drink. The authentic cosy mountain atmosphere is bought to life by the roaring log fire, large brown leather arm chairs and cow hide sofas. The bar offers a range of aperitifs, beers, wines and champagnes and is open every day from 16:00.

The Restaurant

The hotel includes a stylish contemporary alpine restaurant with faux fur furnishings and comfortable brown leather seats. It serves traditional gourmet Savoyard cuisine and is open every day between 08:00 - 10:30 for breakfast (included in the price) and between 18:30 - 21:30 for dinner except on Tuesdays. Visitor comments

  • "Excellent hotel, very friendly staff, catered very well for food allergies, excellent location at bottom of la Daille piste, bus to Val Disere stops outside hotel, Great to be able to relax in spa after long days sking." - Trip Advisor
  • "A small hotel with an amazingly nice staff. The rooms are nice, clean and comfortable. We took the two rooms that are called the suite. The rooms are not too large but very convenient, the room where the children stayed was especially nice, two beds on the lower floor and then two additional beds for smaller children upstairs. It was great to have a private corridor between the two rooms, which allowed privacy while being together. The breakfast is good although not too rich, but has something for everyone. The location is perfect, although not in the centre, it is across the funicolor and across the first station of the free shuttle. Highly recommended!" - Trip Advisor
