Now in its twelfth year, the European night of museums is back, with museums across France opening their doors tomorrow night.

Your not likely to bump into Ben Stiller on these evenings, but you will have access to numerous museums, galleries and exhibitions, mostly for free or for a small entry fee.

Created by the French Ministry of Culture & Communication back in 2005, the locations of the participating museums are mostly in France, but more and more European cities take part each year as the popularity of the event grows.

Over 2 million people are expected to take part, with some venues offering workshops for children, guided walks through displays and exhibitions and some behind the scenes visits. If you can't take part this year you can still follow all the goings on via Facebook, their Twitter Wall (#NDM16) and Instagram.
