Hiring a mountain guide is one of the best ways to truly see and explore a resort, finding the best powder and off-piste secluded spots.
Murray Howie is a British fully qualified ski instructor with BASI level 4 ISTD qualifications and full French equivalence. Originally from Scotland, Murray has been based in the fantastic resort of Val d'Isere for the last six years and knows the Espace Killy ski area extremely well. Therefore, he can easily show you some of the best pistes and deep powder spots in the valley. He has a wealth of experience on all different terrains and environments having previously instructed in Japan, Austria, Italy and Scotland. During the summers Murray teaches at Hillend Dry slope in Edinburgh providing ski lessons, race coaching and taking staff training for their instructors.
Murray can guide up to six skiers and you'll need a transceiver, shovel and probe. If you don't have your own, Murray can help you organise hiring these items.
